Pit Lane Sim Racing set off to make sim racing more accessible and shopping easier especially for Canadian customers. We are not just retailers. Our story at Pit Lane Sim Racing started over 10 years ago with the first track driving experience, long before launching our store. Hooked on a passion for motorsports, that progressed into amateur wheel to wheel (W2W) racing, time trials/time attack, and rallycross. This active involvement in motorsports helped us recognize sim racing as a fantastic and accessible gateway into motorsports for a lot of people as well as an excellent practice tool for seasoned and professional drivers, which led to the launch of our online store in 2019 and later opening our sim lounge in 2021.

The answer to “what are James Whitman’s extra curricular activities” is East Coast Race Fab, a small race car shop in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, working as a part of Lawrencetown Motors.
East Coast Race Fab does custom builds for both performance rally and road race, along with modified setups for slalom, lapping, time attack, and general enjoyment on the street. James also does shock rebuilds, custom cages and roll bars, safety gear installations, alignments and more.
Pickup and drop off of you beloved motorized beast can/will include a good storytelling, an inventory of the custom cuss words created for your project, and maybe some BS too.
East Coast Race Fab also loves (some) weird and wonderful non-racing projects. Yes to engine swaps like flat 6 conversions in VW vans, no to making a lawn mower into a generator.
James fell in love with racing and Atlantic Motorsport Park more than 20 years ago, where he also met his best friend and now rally and race partner in crime, Daphne Sleigh. Together, they use their combined experience and questionably labelled “free time” to help organize, officiate, nonsensify, and compete in performance rally and road race events through Ontario, Quebec, and all points east.
